This concept vehicle is designed with the future city congestion as well as the environmental concerns in mind. Christened as QuadUrban, the vehicle is agile and comfortable enough to provide you easy and quick ride to your office school, gym or just for fun. Designed by Sebastian Salanova, the vehicle is based on the medium sized quad that enables you to commute through thick traffic jams easily or it can just use the space between cars as a lane to rid you of the traffic jams.
The environmental concerns has been met with a small gasoline engine with low emissions and for those of you who think the side walk is an extra lane, the QuadUrban has independent suspension on all four wheels. The vehicle features signal lights, head and stop lights, bumpers, seat-belt, extinguisher and a GPS. The vehicle has a small trunk that fuses panel and battery location and can also be used to deposit things like helmet and beacons. On the top of this, the vehicle is maneuverable and street legal.

Those of you out there who don’t hesitate to wet in sweat in order to remain fit; this monster penny farthing offers the ideal ride. However, it’s far from a common penny farthing that you might have come across scores of time but is equipped with a monster truck tire as a front wheel that will make your drive a strenuous one. Dubbed the Monsterbike, it’ll ask you great exertion and time because it merely has a top speed just above walking pace. And the most cardinal thing is you won’t be afraid of intimidation in traffic. So, if you have all that time and big nuts to pedal this monster penny farthing, it will give you a ride in style and acclamation by the onlookers as well as on road vehicles.

The brainchild of Josep Ferriol, the Volkswagen Kai-Nalu concept car has been created as a part of his final year thesis. The futuristic sports car concept with unique design is composed of two distinctly different elements: the waves of the Mediterranean Sea and shoreline rocks. The concept car features flowing glass upper section which is inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean Sea and is designed to mimic the sea; whereas the angular, jagged bodywork underneath represents the rocks of the coastline.
The mixture of two different shapes and textures represents the dynamic and forceful appearance, similar to the waves. The other unique features of the concept include highly stylized wheels which were inspired by the appearance of bicycle wheels; VW logo in the center is balanced and mounted on a bearing and clear roof. Also, there are windows and upper bodywork that provides a glimpse of the vehicle’s electric drive-train, featuring two separate motors – one mounted upfront and the other at the rear to help balance out weight distribution.

Well not yet. I went into some more information on the 21 year EPA exemption in another post, and I decided to put up a video on Youtube. Videos are always more fun than just words. Subscribe to my videos for more vehicle import information.

I put up a few Youtube videos, something like 280 total videos as of today over the last few years. Mostly car, mostly Nissan Skyline GT-R related. I can’t say I am very good at taking or editing videos, but its something I am working on.
While browsing the MotorMavens site yesterday I noticed this OWLE camera adaptor for the iPhone.
The OWLE Bubo's universal "Coldshoe" mount is great because it doesn't care what kind of light or microphone you attach to it. If you are like us and one light just isn't enough, then we have extra cold shoe's that thread into any of the Bubo's 4 tripod mounts.
THe OWLE Bubo comes Standard with 37mm lens threading, as well as a 0.45x Wide angle/macro combination lens. The ability to change filters and lenses will give you the freedom to choose what your audience sees.
Check out this side by side comparison. You can see how much clearer the OWLE video is compared to a standard iPhone video. Obviously the iPhone is not a dedicated video platform, but as an add on device, or something you already carry with you, its a cool new product.
Some in car footage in Arizona.
I am ordering mine today. It will give me a few more options on shooting videos on my iPhone. I will get some OWLE shot videos up soon.
Cobb Tuning has been competing in the Redline Time Attack with their R35 this year. The car runs in the Modified class and won the modified class, and overall at New Jersey Motorsports park, after losing an engine at Buttonwillow. After Buttonwillow the team replaced the expired engine with one from a wrecked street car. They had a few issues at New Jersey, but not enough for them not to take the overall win.
At Las Vegas some issues from the wrecked street car engine reared their head, and the team decided to build the engine. The next round of Redline Time Attack is at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Ca this weekend, May 29-30th.

The Redline Time Attack is going to be covered Live Streaming in a partnership with the guys at Owle. I was browsing some sites yesterday, and saw this neat add on for the iPhone. Its a better lens/ holding system for the iPhone that will give you good quality video for only $129. They will have up to a dozen cameras streaming at the same time, with some of them inside or on cars. John Naderi and Kerryann De La Cruz will also be in the paddock doing live interviews.
After four years of designing and development, New Zealand’s Hulme has finally launched its Supercar named the “CanAm” after 1967 F1 champion Denny Hulme. Produced in a limited edition of just 20 cars, the mid-engined roadster is intended to run on both road and track. Presenting the rear wheel drive through a Quaife six-speed manual gearbox, the CanAm takes the braking system and safety aids from A.P. racing and Bosch respectively. Generating power from a LS7 V-8 engine, producing 600 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, the Supercar is capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds and can reach the top speed of above 200mph. Potential buyers needs to submit fully refundable £10,000 (about $14,400) to get their name on the order list.
